Times, "they", seem to be changing.
However that depends on your age and circumstance. Data suggests that we now have four different generations of people existing in the same time and space. So, a teenager might be working or shopping in the same location as a 80 year old man or woman. A 55 year old executive may be trying to figure out how to manage a bunch of 30 year olds who seem to have a different version of the corporate handbook.
A 43 year old woman may now be a grandmother and wondering how her 20 year old single daughter is going to raise a newborn. A 38 year old male supervisor can be really confused as to how he might manage the various attitudes and work ethics of staff comprised of both old guard workers and newly hired teenagers.
The scenario's go on and on, but the situation remains the same. People from each generation think and act differently to their life circumstance. Different life styles, attitudes, work ethics and social interactions are just a few of the variances that occur from one born in the 50's to someone born in the 80's.
What one person has come to know and accept as values or rules does not always seem apply to another. Common sense and common courtesy are now open to debate. The way you do it, is not how I want to do it. What you think as proper, may not even on be my radar.
Have you noticed? Or is noticing other people not part of your personal landscape?
