Thanks Mom

While working today at a Nursing Home, I was joined in an elevator by a elder female patient. Noting her disheveled hair, wrinkled dress and oversized shoes, she see seemed both weary and tired.  " Going down", I asked. Yes, she replied "I am going to the front desk to drop off a card for the postman". In her shaking hands I noticed a card, ready for mailing, held gently but with pride and purpose. She then remarked, "I am sending a card to my son". Shaking the card gently, I could hear the rattle of coins. "It is only coins, she said, but, I try to help him when I can". He is 62 and lives in Florida with his family.

Showing me the card, I notice the writing, " to my son, Florida, USA".
Always the Son, forever the Mother, so for this moment, for the memories of times past, God Bless you Mom- Love Always, your Son.

Blind Spot in the Mind's Eye!

Human nature seems to allow people the ability to size up and assess everybody but themselves.

People it seems, are only able respond to that which they are prepared to believe.

Truly knowing yourself seem to be one of the hardest things we will every do.
